Ancient astrology and horoscopes
Astrology and writing a horoscope is a divinatory art that establishes a relationship between the stars of the celestial vault and human destiny. This divinatory art, linked to astronomy, was born two thousand years before our era in Mesopotamia. Archaeologists have found tablets used as astrological supports and dating from this period. These so-called Chaldean tablets were reserved for monarchs and empires. Since then, astrology and making horoscopes, has been enriched by legends telling the history of constellations and has appropriated astronomical knowledge about planets and stars.

Zodiac configuration
Man is influenced all his life by the astral configuration corresponding to the time and date of his birth. It was in Ptolemy's time that astrology became a popular divinatory art. Little by little visionaries offer their horoscope services to people living on the street. Astrology has been democratized since the first century of our era; before it was only reserved to an elite. Ptolemy greatly contributed to the popularization of this divinatory art through his works: the Tetrabiblos, the Manual Tables and Centiloque. Today, the Tetrabiblos is a reference for astrologers. As for the Centiloque, it describes the 12 signs of the zodiac.

Astrology is the witness of the relationships between the universe, stars, planets and men.
In astrology the zodiac is the celestial zone that includes the movements of the Moon, Mercury, Venus, the Sun, Jupiter and Saturn (the other planets were not known to the ancients). Over the course of a year, the sun gradually traverses the twelve* ancient constellations of the zodiac at the rate of one sign per month. In astrology the constellations of the zodiac are used by astrologers to define the portrait of an individual by writing and reading a personal horosocope. In astrology each constellation of the zodiac corresponds to a sign to which is assigned a date, an element (water, air, fire, earth) and a star (Mercury, Venus, the moon, etc.)
